Ancer, who wore the Crimson and Cream from 2010 to 2013, is currently ranked No. 23 in the world after earning his PGA Tour card in 2018.
He’ll make history as the first golfer from Oklahoma University, male or female, to compete in the Olympics. Four rounds of competition will begin on July 29 at the Kasumigaseki Country Club in Kawagoe, Saitama, Japan.

With Ancer on the roster, Mexico came in second at the 2018 World Cup of Golf, behind only Belgium. Ancer led the International Team in scoring with 3.5 points at the 2019 President’s Cup. Tiger Woods was responsible for his lone loss to the American team.
